Boston College

1863, BC is ranked 34th among all US national universities by U.S. News and World Report. Nine schools and colleges grant over 4,000 degrees per year in more than 50 fields of study. Research at the university has grown over the past ten years with $45 million in grants last year, as applications to the school have risen 75 percent.

In addition to the many undergraduate programs available in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Management, Nursing, Education, Theology and and Ministry, the university also offers graduate programs in Arts and Sciences, Social Work, Advancing Studies and a Law School. Interdisciplinary programs which include various cultures, the environment and film, as well as pre-professional programs including predental, prelaw and premedical are available.

Twenty nine on-campus accommodations are available at Boston College, with various forms of living spaces offered. Traditional residence halls, including College Road, Greycliff, Upper Campus and Newton feature double, triple or quad bedrooms with a common bathroom. A University Meal Plan, a flexible spending account to be used at several on-campus cafes and dining halls - is required to live in the residence halls. Suite style living arrangements allow for two people per bedroom with four to nine people per suite with a private bathroom and a common living area within the suite. Suite areas include Vanderslice, Walsh, 90 and 110 St. Thomas More Halls, require the University Meal Plan and are located on Lower Campus.

On campus apartments are offered as well, with two people per bedroom, with up to six people per apartment. A private bathroom, kitchen, living and dining rooms are part of the package. The Modlar Apartments, Rubenstein, Ignacio, Voute, Edmond's Halls and Gabelli make up the apartment living choices. In all of the above sites, students are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the space.
